Small skateboards handcrafted by a small company in the not so small Dolomites.
We use sustainably sourced South Tyrolean Apple Tree Veneers, upcycled wood scraps and natural, chemical-free glue.Mission: At Aeris, we believe that skating and fingerboarding is a creative outlet for everyone. Besides making fingerboards, our mission is to inspire and empower individuals to embrace the DIY spirit of finger- and skateboarding through innovative products, educational resources, and a commitment to sustainability.Vision: By providing accessible and user-friendly equipment, along with necessary resources and support, we empower a new generation of DIY skate- and fingerboarders and foster a thriving community of local brands. Aeris Skateboards aims to revolutionize the way skateboards are designed, manufactured, and enjoyed.Aeris advocates for the approach of strong sustainability, emphasizing the irreplaceable role of natural resources in supporting human life and rejecting the notion that economic growth can compensate for environmental damage. We're trying to use upcycled wood scraps and fast growing woods, we are able to not only equalize our wood extraction by tree cultivation, but overcompensate it in the long term. By utilizing the carbon absorption and storage capacity of wood in a loop system, we strive for a positive ecological impact.

What we do
We are still very much at the beginning, so for now all there is to say is basically: We're trying to make nice fingerboards and fingerboard ramps. However, we believe skateboarding and fingerboarding are creative outlets for everyone. So beyond making fingerboards and fb gear, we want to add some more color and ignite the DIY spirit in everyone through products for self-assembly and educational resources, sharing the joy we find in our own projects. It will take a while until we'll get there though.

We're trying to use upcycled wood scraps whenever we can and we use local South Tyrolean apple tree veneers for our ramps.
Our Team
Being skaters, BMXers and snowboarders ourselves, we are passionate about boardsports and are committed to creating products that push the sport forward. We are based in beautiful Bolzano in South Tyrol and also maintain a close connection to Durango (Colorado), due to our backgrounds. We combine expertise in materials science, design, and sustainability. Zoey contributes additional proficiency in feel-good-management and turns rough days into ruff days.

Work in progress:) Our online store is currently under construction. However, we are currently selling our first batches of fingerboards at local skateshops in Bolzano. you can find an overview about our plan and the process of our production in the About us Section. Local Supply Chain
We support sustainable forestry practices by using apple tree veneers from trees growing less than 20 minutes away from us. We also utilize wood scraps from various local sources, preventing them from being burned and contributing to waste. We manufacture our fingerboards where we are based, in South Tyrol.
Natural Glue
Our R&D is focused on replacing formaldehyde and isocyanate with sustainable alternatives, enabling a fully chemical-free board construction. For now, we use fish glue to bind our decks. Fish glue is a purely natural product that is obtained by boiling and evaporating wastes of the cod industry. It’s the only natural glue that offers a strong, long-lasting bond and rivals chemical adhesives, ensuring the performance we need.We are well aware that fish glue isn't vegan. However, it's the most responsible choice compared to the long-term effects of chemical glues on animal and human health. Chemical glues can contain harmful toxins that can potentially leak into the environment, severely impacting wildlife.
